Did the lockdowns change work for the better?

Surveylab Are we asking the rught questios about WFH

I've been exploring this in our UK workplace study and through client feedback, and there's still quite a heated debate going on about working from home ...

While some leaders regard the pre-pandemic "normal", as a time when everything worked just fine, there's probably another issue at play - trust. And so much misconception about what people's work, and home life, looks like. Is the debate really about trusting people to work while working from home?

We're bombarded with headlines about returning to the office and finding incentives to motivate people to come back in. "Hybrid" working is getting popular again, so it's back to deciding how many days is optimal? But are these the right questions to ask? Shouldn't we focus on what work we're doing in the office, rather than when and where?

What changes at work in the last few years have made your workplace better?
